Governor Fintiri Restricts Government Official Travel Outside Adamawa with Public Funds

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has restricted government officials from traveling outside the state using public funds. This rest@a%qriction will take effect on April 1, 2024.

A circular signed by the Secretary to the Government, Hon. Awwal D. Tukur, announced the new policy.

The circular states: "This is to inform all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has directed that from 1st of April, 2024 no government official is allowed to travel outside the state using government funds unless the trip is absolutely necessary and has been cleared by His Excellency, the Executive Governor."

The circular emphasizes that all concerned parties should take immediate note of this directive. The restriction will be in place for the next three months, subject to further review.
