Following the Yola Market fire, Governor Fintiri has instructed the formation of a committee comprising experts to design and build a replacement structure.
A press release by Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, confirmed this.
The statement outlined that the redesigned market structure will involve a comprehensive overhaul and expansion plan to create a more organised and accessible space for business activities.
This follows the Governor's visit to the market on Monday where he pledged to commence reconstruction of the facility within one month.
The committee, as outlined in the press release, will be comprised of experts.
"The committee of experts will include Architects, Engineers, Town Planners, Quantity Surveyors and Builders amongst others," the statement said.
"The committee of relevant professionals is tasked with ensuring the new structure is a customer-friendly destination."
The committee has been given three weeks to submit its report, without fail.
