Isolo Kingdom in Lagos is in mourning following the passing of their paramount ruler, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka. The 64-year-old traditional leader died on Wednesday, shortly after attending Eid al-Fitr prayers.
Olasoju Adebayo, Chairman of the Isolo Local Council Development Area, confirmed the news in a statement.
He said he was acting on the instructions of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to formally announce the passing.
A burial ceremony will be held today at 4pm at the Oba's palace on 3/5 Akinbaye Street, Isolo, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
