Governor Fintiri's Water Supply Initiative Lauded with International Award

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has received international recognition for his administration's achievements in providing clean water to primary healthcare facilities across the state. 
The Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency was bestowed with the esteemed 'Award of Excellence' at the 2024 International Conference on Water in Abuja.

The award, presented to the Agency's Executive Chairman, Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir, celebrated the state's exemplary efforts in ensuring that primary healthcare facilities and nearby communities have reliable access to quality water. 
Governor Fintiri's unwavering commitment to the health sector has been instrumental in driving these advancements.

Dr. Bashir emphasised the Governor's strong leadership and support, which have enabled the Agency to implement effective strategies for enhancing water infrastructure and maintenance. Partner organisations, including UNICEF, IRC, and ICRC, have played a crucial role in supporting the state's endeavours. 
Their assistance in providing infrastructure and planned preventive maintenance has ensured the sustainability of water supply systems, even as demand has increased.

The award is a testament to the Governor's dedication to improving the lives of Adamawa State residents. By guaranteeing access to clean water, the state is taking a significant step towards better health outcomes for its population.
