Schools considering entering candidates for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2025 are reminded to complete a crucial registration process before the end of the year.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the opening of online portals for schools to gain recognition and submit their Continuous Assessment Scores (CASS) data.

In a statement issued, referenced BN/ZC/MOE/15/VOL.2/139 and signed by Mr A. Adebolu, Head of Exams for the Branch Controller, was addressed to school principals and titled “WASSCE (SC) 2025: OPENING OF ONLINE PORTALS FOR SCHOOL RECOGNITION AND UPLOAD OF CASS 1 & 2”.

“The school recognition portal will be open for the recognition of new schools from 2 September to 13 December 2024", the statement said.

WAEC emphasised the importance of meeting these deadlines. Schools must submit their applications for recognition and CASS data between September 2nd and December 20th, 2024.

Failure to comply with these timeframes may result in disqualification from the examination. Schools are advised to ensure their applications are complete and submitted before the portals close.
