Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the state by the Historical Society of Nigeria. The society's national president, Professor Samuel Agalinu, announced the honor in a press briefing in Government House Yola shortly after a visit to the governor's office.
Professor Agalinu praised Governor Fintiri for his selfless service to the people of Adamawa, highlighting his prompt implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage. He described the governor as a "bonafide member" of the society and a leader who has made significant strides in human and infrastructure development.
"Governor Fintiri has demonstrated exceptional leadership in a state with diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds," Professor Agalinu stated. "We have witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure development under his administration."
As the Historical Society of Nigeria prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary next year, the organization has decided to honor Governor Fintiri for his exemplary leadership. The award will be presented at a special event in Abuja.
