Adamawa State Seeks to Cement its Role in Nigeria's National Plan

Adamawa State has taken a significant stride towards solidifying its position as a key player in Nigeria's national development. A seminar and interactive session, hosted by the state government, delved into strategies for sustaining the state's strategic contributions to the country's national plan.

The event, organised by the Office of the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Mobilization, Dr Victor Dogo, took place today at the Banquet Hall, Government House Yola. It brought together key stakeholders to discuss the state's progress in various sectors, including agriculture, infrastructure, education, and security, under the theme "Sustaining Adamawa State's Strategic Role in Stabilizing the National Plan in Nigeria." The seminar aimed to spotlight the state's substantial contributions to national development and stability.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr Edgar Amos Sunday, underscored the state government's commitment to tackling challenges, particularly in the aftermath of the fuel subsidy removal. He highlighted ongoing projects and programmes designed to mitigate the impact on citizens and drive development across the state.

Renowned experts, including Chief Maurice Vunobulki, Professor Kayode Asaju, Professor Ijasini John Tekwa, and Barrister Adukwu Gabriel, shed light on the state's impressive performance indicators. They commended Governor Fintiri's leadership, acknowledging his visionary approach and dedication to public service.

Dr Victor Dogo, the convener of the seminar, called upon citizens to actively participate in realising the dream of a greater Nigeria. He emphasised the importance of aligning state-level initiatives with national plans and fostering exemplary leadership, as demonstrated by Governor Fintiri.

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, James Iliya, expressed gratitude for the governor's transformative efforts and urged the people of Adamawa State to support his vision for a prosperous future.

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session, where participants exchanged ideas and proposed solutions for further advancing Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
