Adamawa Indigene Polycarp Joel Appointed as Nigeria National Volleyball Coach II

Polycarp Joel, an indigene of Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, has been appointed as the Assistant Coach 2 of the Nigeria male National Volleyball Team.

This was contained in an appointment letter signed by Mrs Ngozi Amayo, the Secretary-General of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation. The appointment is with immediate effect.

Prior to this appointment, Polycarp Joel was the National Coach of the Nigeria U-17 volleyball team.

Polycarp Joel was a former national team player where he contributed his quota to the team in various competitions.

He was a grassroots volleyball player where he was discovered at the School Sports Federation tournaments.

He contributed to qualifying Sparter Spikers, a Yola-based volleyball team, to play at championship and Premier League level.

As a grassroots experienced coach, he is expected to scout players from the grassroots and give them the opportunity to prove themselves at the national level.
